The Assuli Winery heads towards international distribution by entering the Asian market with a quality production awarded by renowned wine guidebooks.
Evidence of this are the awards assigned at the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine and Spirit Competition 2020. Besi ’16 is awarded ‘Gold’ and establishes itself as Best Wine From Italy 2020 in the Nero d’Avola – Sicily, Italy – 2018/16 category while Lorlando ’18 in the same category is awarded ‘Silver’. Considering the benchmark of quality for wines and spirits for Asian consumers, the competition is judged by some of the most esteemed wine and spirit judges from China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam.
Assuli is once again a double award winner at Best Italian Wine Selection with Furioso ’17 (Gold) and Lorlando ’18 (Bronze). BIWS is ‘the competition for Italian wine in China’ that awards a selection of Italian wines for the Chinese market with the aim of promoting them by offering buyers and consumers an assessment tool for their purchase. The jury consists of qualified Italian-Chinese WSET wine experts, AIS sommeliers, buyers and distributors on the Chinese market and journalists from the wine sector.
“Apart from the high quality standards, – says Roberto Caruso, President of Assuli – we aim to also maintain promotional strategies to strengthen our presence on an international level”.
